Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council is located within a beautiful, historic Garden City, brimming with culture and opportunity; this sought-after location is a popular place to live, raise a family and work.

The Council’s modernisation program is continually driving service improvements, and during the pandemic we have continued to deliver fantastic services to residents and have risen to new challenges through the adoption of new ways of working and innovation in service delivery. Maintaining an excellent service and supporting the most vulnerable residents has been at the heart of our response to Covid-19.

We are seeking an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to take the lead on tackling and reducing anti-social behaviour across the borough, dealing with behaviour that has an impact on the wider community and making a positive difference to the lives of residents in Welwyn Hatfield. Employing a tenure neutral service and multi-agency approach, the ASB team works in partnership with the Police and other agencies to safeguard individuals and reduce the risk of harm to the community.

About you

As a motivated and dedicated officer with demonstrable experience of dealing with both low level and complex anti-social behaviour casework, you will:

  • Be an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Have a pragmatic and flexible approach in all aspects of your work.
  • Have a problem-solving approach to addressing anti-social behaviour.

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
