About Us

The Occupational Therapy & Sensory Service is a very forward-thinking positive place to work in.

We have been at the forefront of the innovative practice recognized by RCOT who have invited the team to contribute articles for publication. Our Single Handed Care approach to Moving and Handling was presented at an RCOT Principal OT session.

Further innovation is taking place following the appointment of a Technology Enabled Care Officer who together with this post will set out the council’s plan to enhance independent living through the emerging digital assistive technology agenda.

We have developed virtual assessments tools that allowed us to carry on with assessment during the pandemic, keeping staff and vulnerable residents safe.

We have a dedicated and experienced team who are keen to share their skills.

We can offer you a manageable and diverse caseload whilst supporting you to maintain a healthy work life balance with a generous annual leave entitlement and working from home/flexible working opportunities.
