Job Duties:

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Design and Capital Delivery team as Programme Manager responsible for the delivery of major construction projects and programmes on behalf of the County Council

The Programme Manager will be accountable for the development and delivery of construction projects within the Council’s property capital programme together with the arrangements for procurement of professional services and contractors.

As an experienced manager, preferably in the construction or property project management sector, you will be joining an excellent team supporting and ensuring robust strategic planning, performance, development, delivery and financial management ensuring that outputs and value for money are benchmarked effectively.

Able to lead and motivate and influence, you’ll support the delivery of the council’s capital construction programme to time, quality, and cost, through the effective team management utilising contracted out services to develop and deliver construction projects. You will ensure that your team maintains high performance standards and that budgetary control is always delivered .

You’ll support the Head of Design and Capital Delivery through your work with key stakeholders to ensure that all projects are supported and delivered through effective customer engagement and communication.

You will be a confident individual, capable of using your initiative to work effectively in some challenging and diverse situations and you will possess excellent leadership, performance management and communication skills.
