The starting salary for £45,734 per annum for a 36 hour working week.

Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care System is a partnership of local health and care organisations where doctors, nurses, other clinicians and specialist staff work together in partnership with local residents and patients to improve health and care services for local people. Engaging meaningfully with our population is a top priority for us and we have become recognised by the NHS, King’s Fund and Healthwatch (et al.) as a team at the forefront of thinking in this area. We have won a number of awards for our work and have influenced the direction of national policy including NHS England’s guidance on working with people and communities.
In your role you will be supported by a team of trained researchers, insight specialists and communications professionals to apply research and co-design techniques to engagement with a range of Surrey Heartlands residents, patients, clinicians, staff and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have specialist knowledge in research methods, engagement and involvement and will be able to demonstrate a high level of knowledge and experience in this area. We are looking for someone who has solid practical experience of qualitative research techniques but is also familiar with quantitative methods. They must be a self-starter and be confident in managing research and engagement projects. Being organised will be essential.
Local health and care services are very contextual depending on their geography, population and resources. While a good understanding of the Surrey Heartlands context will be useful, as will knowledge of health systems and the application of social research, it is not essential from the outset. We genuinely encourage applications from candidates from all research backgrounds.
The role will be formally based in Reigate and some travel to other venues in Surrey will be required for specific meetings or workshops. However, during the Covid19 restrictions, home-working is in place and post Covid19 the proposal is to retain an agile workforce approach, including home working and flexible use of local offices in Surrey.
