The centre works from both schools and supports families in the Forest Hill and Sydenham areas. The children’s centre runs a range of sessions for families such as, cooking and messy play and you will be required to work with the children at the sessions. The children’s centre also provides outreach support and a food supermarket for families to which you may sometimes be involved.

  • Understand the challenges children and babies are facing after lock down
  • Be able to encourage learning through play
  • Be able to engage with all the families who attend the centre

The successful candidate will be required to take up post in September.  The post is part time, the working hours are 17.25 per week (all year round), from 9.00am to 3.30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The salary will be paid at Grade 3 (SCP 5 – 6). Grade 3 is currently £23,427 – £23,850 (full time equivalent).  The full time salary will be reduced by the application of a ‘pro rata’ calculation to allow for part time working. The post is temporary for one academic year (to 31/08/2022).
