We are seeking Occupational Therapists to work in the Adult Care Team covering the North area. We have a number of hours which can be offered on a permanent or temporary basis.

Duties include assessing adults, in their home environment, who are experiencing problems relating to physical/sensory impairment, ageing, and other serious health and social care problems.

Applicants need to be qualified Occupational Therapists, ideally, but not exclusively with experience in a Social Services setting.

The team is well established and supportive and committed to multidisciplinary working with health, housing voluntary and private agencies.

North Somerset Council is committed to the Occupational Therapy service and has in place a career progression scheme and ongoing professional development offering a wide range of training opportunities to support this.  Working in an adult care locality team you will receive support and supervision from the Team Manager and Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapists.

This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
