Adult Education Budget Manager

The West of England Combined Authority currently manages c£16million of adult education funding annually. This new post will take on the day to day management of this fund, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of delivery, addresses and makes real impact to support learners across our region, and enables our providers to reach those individuals most in need.

This is a senior position within the Authority and carries significant responsibilities. In order to succeed in this role, you will require an extremely good prior knowledge of the adult education budget, its uses and correct deployment. You will also be an excellent planner, forward thinker and manager, able to motivate and support your team with heavy workloads. You will be used to dealing with staff at all levels, right up to Chief Executive or elected member and be able to explain complex ideas simply and with patience. You will have gained these skills in a large public body, either directly managing AEB, or in a large provider setting where you have been involved in delivering provision funded by AEB.
