Principal Licensing Officer
At Epsom & Ewell, we aspire to deliver high quality services to our residents. We might be small, but we have big plans to serve our population of 80,000 residents. We are investing in our future, increasing strategic capacity and exploring new ways of working.
Our long-term vision for the Borough tells us where we want to be and how we’re going to get there. This new role will be crucial to delivering that vision and the aspirations of local people, as well as driving forward key deliverables from our Four Year and Recovery Plans.
The Principal Licensing Officer is a new role in which you will have an opportunity to be hands on, with your own licensing case load, whilst also managing a small team of licensing staff, dealing with a wide range of licensable activities, contributing to a safer borough and strengthening their own professional portfolio.
We are seeking an experienced licensing professional able to use their knowledge and skills to ensure licensing contributes to the overall delivery of a high quality local environment, with an emphasis on developing and supporting staff and working collaboratively across different services.
The Public Protection team was formed recently as part of the council’s response to the challenges around better joined up approaches to regulation and enforcement. Reporting directly to the Public Protection Manager you will have plenty of opportunities to develop your new ideas and apply innovative approaches whilst enjoying the help and support from an experienced and dynamic team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a professional and committed team and we look forward to receiving your application.
