Digital Content Manager

The role

The Digital Product team sits within the Digital and Strategic Insight team in the newly formed Fundraising, Communications and Engagement Directorate at Breast Cancer Now.

The Digital Content Manager ’s time is split between managing the website’s content strategy, content design, content team and website content governance, for Breast Cancer Now.

The role is responsible for developing the content strategy and content management processes which are key in setting the direction for content development, optimisation, testing, governance, and auditing.

As line manager for two line reports, the post-holder will inspire, train, and manage their team as well as their wellbeing and development, and ensuring the content strategy is delivered consistently across the charity’s digital products (predominantly websites and microsites) by each of their team members.

About you

This role involves working in a matrix setup across the organisation, so experience of working with different content types requirements, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential. You will need to have demonstrable experience in developing and delivering a website content strategy and processes for managing the content on the CMS.

You will have a passion not only for excellent content but also, for keeping up to date with the technical aspects of the sites content including SEO, accessibility, metadata usage and Schema markup.
