More about the role:
Our Reablement Service put residents at the heart of everything we do. Following an accident or illness, sometimes people need a helping hand to get back to everyday life. That’s where our Unit Support Workers come in. Our goal is to help people to get back on their feet – and regain their independence.
Become a Unit Co-ordinator, and you’ll find your greatness supervising our team of Unit Support Workers as they care for those who need it most. You’ll enable them to do their job at the highest standards, arranging training, monitoring their performance, and ensuring procedures are followed, championing best practice.
You’ll carry out assessments of residents to determine the level of care and support they need – and put the wheels in motion to make it all happen. You’ll demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, and be a natural carer.
To support your team weekend working will be required and occasional night shifts.
For this role, you need an NVQ Level 3 in Care (or equivalent qualifications and experience), plus a knack for writing reports and co-ordinating people.
Join us, and take advantage of our rewards package, enhanced rates at weekends, and the chance to learn and progress. Best of all, find your greatness by helping older people to enjoy active, meaningful lives.
Central Bedfordshire Council has its own vision and values that are integral to everything we do. Our area vision is to make Central Bedfordshire 'A great place to live and work’.
To assess your suitability for the role, you must demonstrate how you meet the key outcomes, accountabilities and competencies. To do this, you’ll need to refer the Family Profile, Role Profile and Competency Framework which can be found in the Recruitment Pack: Unit Co-ordinator Recruitment Pack
