The Council has an ambitious agenda with significant growth planned over the next 20 years planning for up to 20,000 homes and 24,000 jobs.
We need an enthusiastic and skilled specialist to help us deliver this growth agenda. You will be part of our multi-disciplinary Technical Skills Team in Planning Delivery, where you will promote our rich heritage and help the Council meet its visions for the area. You will work closely with our Planning Teams, involved with development management, minerals and waste and strategic plan making.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated skilled Conservation Officer, with a degree (or equivalent) in Conservation and preferable membership of the Chartered Institute of Historic Building Conservation at Associate level or above to provide maternity cover in our busy and exciting team. You will have a proven record of working in the planning environment, acting as case officer for Listed Building Consent applications and giving advice in a local authority context.
If your application is successful, we will be looking to schedule interviews week commencing 12th July 2021. Given current guidelines these will be undertaken using Microsoft Teams.
