We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated person with excellent administrative skills to work as a Legal Support Officer in our Contracts & Procurement Team.

This is a friendly and very busy team, supporting a wide range of client departments.

About the role

The successful candidate will receive training and supervision in order to be able to successfully undertake the role. You will need to be flexible and proactive, undertaking a range of duties including general administrative duties and have experience of using MS Office, Outlook and Excel as well case management software.

You will be supporting the lawyers in the Contracts & Procurement Team in the management of their cases, including opening files, preparation of contracts, liaising with clients and third parties and drafting standard documents.

Some experience of working in a legal environment would be preferable.

You will be joining a well respected and resourced local government legal service and will benefit from a genuine commitment to professional development for all of our staff.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

Work Permits: This role does not meet the requirement for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Successful candidates will need to evidence that they have the Right to Work in the UK.
