More about the role:
In Adult Social Care, we want every person in Central Bedfordshire to have responsive, customer-focused care and support – making this a great place to live and work.
Currently Central Bedfordshire Council operates two day services for adults with learning disabilities. One in Biggleswade and one in Houghton Regis. As the Unit Supervisor for both these services, you’ll be at the heart of our drive to implement the new day offer for current and future customers.
You will provide leadership and operational oversight to two dedicated teams. You will provide a positive role model to the staff team, embracing and cultivating best practice in the delivery of the new evolving day offer. This will involve partnership working with customers, carers, staff, and colleagues both within Central Bedfordshire Council and the wider social care community.
Ideally you will have social care and leadership experience and have transferable skills from your current role that will help us achieve our goal in the delivery of excellent person-centred day opportunities. We are looking for someone who has a passion for involving customers in the future developments of their services.
You will know the importance of leading and developing your staff team so they can deliver the best service possible for each and every customer.
If you have the relevant knowledge skills and experience and wish to lead and develop the team to deliver a responsive, flexible, and resilient service underpinned by a caring, compassionate, and confident operating culture, then we want to hear from you.
Join us, and you’ll have the opportunity to develop as a manager within a supportive environment and you can expect to be valued for your positive and dynamic leadership style. Even better, you’ll find your greatness as you develop the service so that the customers are able to achieve their aspirations.
At Central Bedfordshire Council, we’re passionate about having a workforce that reflects our community. It’s why we’re committed to creating equal opportunities.
To assess your suitability for the role, you must demonstrate how you meet the key outcomes, accountabilities and competencies. To do this, you’ll need to refer the Family Profile, Role Profile and Competency Framework which can be found in the Recruitment Pack: Unit Supervisor Recruitment Pack
