Experienced Social Worker- Initial Assessment Team- £32,234- £34,728 (HBC8)
The Initial Assessment Team is a dynamic team based in Widnes, responsible for the assessment of adults with a range of presentations including older people, those with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and adults with drug and alcohol issues and those faced with homelessness, who have referred for social work assessments for the first time. The Team is responsible for signposting them to appropriate services and undertaking Care Act assessments and Safeguarding Enquiries. The team delivers a multi- disciplinary service closely working with a range of professionals/stakeholders across the organisation as well as external partners.
You will be a qualified social worker with experience of undertaking statutory social work assessments. You must be able to work well under pressure within a fast paced and challenging team, thriving on the personal and professional reward gained from working in such diverse and varied role.
We are specifically looking for Experienced Social workers. You will have completed your ASYE and have successfully navigated your subsequent progression processes. Based on your career aspirations and experience/caseload, you will be given the opportunity to undertake additional qualifications to advance your career further (including best interest assessor and practice educator).
