An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our specialist Safeguarding Adults Team in the role of Safeguarding Case Co-ordinator.
In this role, you will work in partnership with service users, families, carers, health colleagues, the police and other agencies in the response to allegations of abuse, in line with Section 42 of the Care Act and its accompanying guidance.
You will work alongside our dedicated Safeguarding Adults Practitioners in screening and risk assessing cases, carrying out safeguarding enquiries, and trigger on-going referrals to other agencies. You may also initiate assessments and reassessments for commissioned services by local social work teams. You will also manage and co-ordinate a defined caseload, undertake enquiry reviews, and amend safeguarding plans as necessary.
You will also be expected to provide a range of advice and guidance to both professionals and members of the public relating to safeguarding adults and MCA/DoLS, so excellent communication skills both written and verbal are a must. You must be able to adapt your approach to a number of different and potentially challenging situations
You will need to be able to work independently and as part of the team, manage your own workload and priorities, whilst having a high level of autonomy and professionalism. You will need to demonstrate to us that you can think on your feet and have the ability to support people in a range of emotionally demanding situations.
