Due to internal recruitment, we are looking for a focused individual who is interested in being part of our busy Customer Services Team. You will need to have excellent communication skills, the ability to use your own initiative, the desire and motivation to make a difference to our customers and the stamina to work in an ever-changing and constantly busy environment.

You will work at Castle House, Newark, or at one of our outreach centres, dealing with a wide range of customer enquiries. This includes face to face enquiries and answering calls in our contact centre which includes social media. You need to have a flexible approach with the ability to prioritise your work and react to a changing workload. Types of enquires we deal with are very varied - one minute you may be dealing with a waste enquiry then the next minute providing advice relating to planning or homelessness.

Excellent communication, keyboard and numeracy skills are required. In addition experience of working in an appropriate customer orientated environment is essential as well as working on a variety of ICT systems to record, monitor and extract customer service information.

You will have the ability to meet targets, experience of working with on-line computer systems and will be educated to GCSE Grade C, or equivalent, in English and Mathematics. You must also have the ability to travel to the outreach stations within the district.

We offer an attractive package, which includes a career average pension scheme and a generous holiday allowance of 25 days per year rising to 35 days per year with service.  We have a strong value-driven culture and we support our staff to fulfil their highest potential.  You will be able to enjoy the benefits of discounted staff parking and gym membership.

Veterans/family of forces/ex-forces, those in care/care leavers, and candidates who declare a disability (as defined under the Equality Act 2010) will be guaranteed an interview provided they have demonstrated that they meet the essential criteria of the post as detailed in the Person Specification on their application form.

For an informal discussion about this post, please contact either Tracey Streeter on 01636 655208, Julie Houghton on 01636 655582 or Clare Ashley 01636 655891.

Closing date for receipt of applications is 12 noon on 11th October 2021

Tests and Interviews will take place week commencing 18th October 2021
