Family Liaison Officer / Teaching Assistant (Fixed term contract - 1 year)

Lime Trust is looking for a Family Liaison Officer / Teaching Assistant to join their team.  The Trust consists of 8 schools, 4 special and 4 primary, in Cambridgeshire and North and East London.

The successful candidate

The opportunity has arisen for a dual post that consists of two contracts.  One as a Family Liaison Officer and the other as a Teaching Assistant.  The contracts will be split equally across the week.  We would consider applicants applying as a job share.  We are looking to appoint an efficient and committed member of staff to join our team at Lime Academy Abbotsmede.  The successful candidate will:

  • Have proven experience of dealing with vulnerable families, including excellent interpersonal skills in working with children and young people
  • Have a detailed understanding legislative framework, that particularly affect SEN processes, admissions and exclusions
  • Have good communication skills with a positive and enthusiastic approach
  • Be able to work calmly under pressure
  • Have experience working in a school setting
  • Have an understanding of how to promote positive behaviour
  • Have the ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these

Family Liaison Officer

  • Hours: 18.5 hours per week; TTO + 1 week (39 working weeks plus annual leave)

Teaching Assistant

  • Hours: 16.25 hours per week; TTO + 1 week (39 working weeks plus annual leave)
