LANDLORD LIAISON OFFICER
Permanent, 37 hours per week
NS8 - £24,491 TO £25,991 per annum (pay award pending)
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and innovative individual for the post of Landlord Liaison Officer.
You will be part of a team responsible for carrying out the local authorities statutory homelessness duties. This post is responsible for the development and management of the Council’s tenant finding scheme (RealHome) to improve access to and increase successful take up of sustainable private sector options tenancies by providing an effective and professional private sector liaison service to private landlords.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in residential lettings in the private housing sector. You will actively improve and develop professional relationships with letting agents and landlords to increase the accessibility and take up of private sector options by those in housing need.
You will provide a support service to landlords where successful placements are made and with the assistance of Housing Options colleagues to mediate between tenant and landlord should difficulties arise.
You will maintain and develop further effective partnerships and strong working relationships and will be skilled in being persuasive and negotiating at all levels including positive challenge.
This role, whilst part of a wider team, will require you to work on your own initiative, be creative in finding solutions and have a high degree of self-motivation.
