The South Older People’s Team it is a busy, highly professional Adult Social Care team situated at Watling House in Dunstable. Our staff work from home and out of several office location across the county. The South Team is split into an Assessment Team and a Review Team and serves the area including Leighton Buzzard, Dunstable and Houghton Regis and the villages in between. We currently have vacancies in both teams.
We are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Practitioner to join our multi-skilled team. The Team forms part of Community Assessment Services and practices at the cutting edge of Adult Social Care with a strong focus on improving customer outcomes in a person-centred way. Our ambition is to work collaboratively with our health colleagues to provide a seamless multi-agency response in supporting residents with their health and social care needs. Our collective practice has a strong focus on early prevention and optimising levels of independence.
This post is key in supporting and developing the day to day operation of the team and overseeing the continuous approach we have to improving and developing our practice. Working alongside your peers, you will be responsible for managing duty; undertaking supervision with staff; ensuring the timely and proportionate allocation of work; supporting people with safeguarding needs and providing support to staff on a day to day basis. You will hold a small caseload commensurate with your skills and experience.
The successful candidate must have a recognised Social Work qualification and be currently SWE registered, with relevant post qualifying practice and experience. Your values will demonstrate compassion in practice and professional pride.
