Digital Media and Profiling Officer

Broxbourne Council is looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Digital Media and Profiling Officer to grow our social media following, engage and retain them. You will also help to convert them into leads, customers, active fans and promoters of the Spotlight.

 

You should know best practices and trends in social media marketing, enjoy being creative, have excellent written and verbal English, and understand how to build a digital audience and foster engagement. There is also an element of flexibility in this role in assisting other departments within the Spotlight when required.

 

You should be educated to degree level and must have a passion for communications to help us engage effectively with residents, businesses, staff and other stakeholders. You will need excellent administrative and organisational skills including the ability to time manage, prioritise and work accurately under pressure.

 

The following experience and skills are also essential for this role:

  • Excellent written English and an eye for detail; ability to write concise and captivating content for each online channel and first-class proof reading skills
  • A genuine passion for putting the customer first, with a deep understanding of the impact of social media on an organisation’s public image
  • Knowledge of social analytics and experience with content creation and planning
  • IT literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in fluent English is essential in this post.
