Nicholson’s House Maidenhead

Windsor & Maidenhead Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) is seeking to recruit a committed, highly motivated Social Worker to join their team.

Within this role you will be responsible for making decisions in conjunction with the Senior Social Worker on day- to- day operational issues within the remit of the post and in line with the eligibility criteria for Adult & Community Care Services to ensure the safety of vulnerable people.
You will be required to work with individuals, families and carers that are eligible for services to identify their outcomes in relation to their needs and circumstances. The role also includes working with young individuals who are transitioning into adult services, providing families with transitioning plans, information and a person-centred approach to transiting.

You will also be working alongside the Criminal Justice Team and working on Anxiety Management strategies.

This post will provide the opportunity to gain further skills and experience in working in a progressive and supportive CMHT. Supervision, multi-disciplinary team support and opportunities for professional development will be provided.

Based in Maidenhead at Nicholson’s House, this is a fantastic opportunity to work in a challenging and diverse role. You will be joining an experienced and friendly multi-disciplinary team in a supportive working environment, with a visible and accessible management team who priorities supportive supervision and a commitment to staff training/development/progression.

You will need to hold the relevant qualification in Social Work and currently be registered with Social Work England and have experience of working in a health or social care environment and have knowledge of mental health and criminal justice legislation, understanding of care coordination, care management and safeguarding.

You must also hold a full, current driving license and have daily use of a car.
