Hertsmere Borough Council are looking for HGV Driver/Loaders, to join our efficient street cleansing, waste and recycling collection service within and around Hertsmere.
The job involves driving a HGV refuse collection vehicle, being responsible for routine inspections, maintenance and cleansing of the vehicle. As part of the role you will complete all necessary paperwork and lead and also assist a small team involved in the collection of refuse.
To apply you will need to have at least 1 years’ experience in a HGV driving role, you will have proven experience of manual handling and be capable of walking long distances and pulling and emptying refuse bins when required.
This post is offered on a full time, permanent basis (36 hours per week) with opportunities for overtime.
