Teaching Assistant

The Governors of Dee Point Primary School wish to appoint a 30 hours a week teaching assistant (Mon – Fri 8.45am – 3.15pm – 30 hours) to join our hard working and passionate team. Our outstanding school needs an excellent practitioner to work each day in our Year 5 class with a specific pupil who has physical needs and some additional learning needs. This role is temporary until the child leaves school or the funding ceases.

The successful candidate will support learning alongside the classteacher and other experienced support staff each day.  To gain a much clearer and detailed picture of the role, it is strongly recommended you visit the school on the dates available:  Monday 18th October at 4pm; Wednesday 20th October at 9.30am.  This will also help you gain a greater understanding of the pupils needs.  If you are unable to make these dates then please contact the school to try and arrange an alternative date to visit. Interviews will take place on Thursday 4th November 2021.

This post is temporary but this is a real opportunity for someone to be involved in an amazing school with fantastic children and incredibly committed, hardworking staff.

If you would like an application form and further details, please contact school and we will be delighted to provide them for you.

Our school community places the highest priority on keeping our children safe.  Applicants for all posts will be subject to stringent vetting and induction processes. The holder of this post will be required to work with children under the age of 18 in a position of trust, and is, therefore, exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The successful candidate will be subject to the relevant checks and enhanced DBS.
