This role is based in the Supporting Communities Strategy Team, our team works with teams across the Supporting Communities Directorate developing strategy and policy and putting them into action. For us we make strategy happen by doing things. We also work across the council to develop and support cross-cutting ambitions of being the best place to live, work, and play.
Camden’s Supporting Communities Strategy Team is seeking a Portfolio Lead to lead strategy, policy, improvement, and transformation in key areas of work across the organisation.
As portfolio lead, you will lead your own projects and support a team of officers to deliver their projects. We’re looking for people with a mindset that is curious, humble, and flexible. Curious to understand what’s really at the heart of a problem, and about other people’s experiences and perspectives. Humble in recognising what they don’t know and expert at working with others with different knowledge and expertise. And flexible to change approach as they learn more, to test things out and adapt what doesn’t work.
You will be working with a wide variety of people, with diverse experiences, you will be developing creative and innovative policies and strategies to achieve key corporate priorities and outcomes. We are looking for someone who can support staff and their teams to get involved in the development of strategy. We strongly believe in the co-design of policy and strategy with our residents and are looking for someone passionate in this area.
