Vacancy – Out of School Club Playworker AAAD 5101

Grade: 2, £17,842 - £18,198 pro rata (approximately £ 9.25 - £ 9.43 per hour)

Hours: 14.25 hrs. per week term time only. Monday to Wednesday 7.30-9.15am and 3.00-6.00pm

 The Governors of Whitley Village School wish to appoint an enthusiastic Playworker to join our friendly and hardworking school team. The position is permanent starting mid November 2021, or as soon as possible.  

We are a small team so the applicant needs to be flexible and reliable. The role may involve some time working alone. The successful candidate will work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday weekly;

  • 7.30 – 9.15am in breakfast club and
  • 3.00 – 6.00 pm in after-school club

 The role is to supervise children in our before and after-school club, prepare creative and appropriate play opportunities for them and organise snacks. The role includes:

  • transporting children to and from the local pre-school when needed
  • working both inside and outside the school building as we encourage outdoor play when possible
  • locking/unlocking the school building
