Trading Standards South East Administrator - Remote Working

The starting salary for this role is £17,554 per annum and is based on a 28.8 working hour week.

The job holder will be homebased, but may be able to work from Woodhatch Place, Reigate, RH2 8EF and attend other Surrey offices.  Travel on a business need basis (this will be very minimal). Flexible working supported, laptop and mobile supplied.

Would you like to support a dynamic Trading Standards partnership by providing a wide range of administrative services?

Are you able to work on your own initiative and deal with changing priorities?  Do you have excellent interpersonal skills & a pragmatic approach?

If so, we are looking for an effective administrator to help deliver a high quality service to achieve our partnership objectives.

You will be a member of the Trading Standards South East (TSSE) team which consists of 4 members of staff supporting 19 local authority Trading Standards services across the South East of England.

The purpose of the partnership is to deliver greater value to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness as a result of adopting a coordinated, joined-up approach by sharing resources, knowledge and expertise.

TSSE prides itself on a collaborative and inclusive approach.  We have a proactive, can do attitude.  We support Trading Standards professionals to identify new and innovative ways of working and to facilitate the sharing of best practice.

If you would like to join the TSSE team and be shortlisted for interview your application will clearly evidence:

  • Good general standard of education with GCSE grade C or above Maths & English
  • Able to organise and prioritise workload with good time management skills
  • Excellent keyboard skills and computer literate. Competent in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.               
  • That you work well in a team, are flexible and copes well with change
