Apprenticeship Lecturer - Business, Customer Service and Management

Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service is the local authority’s direct provider of adult education and work-based training. Officially rated as “Good” following our OFSTED inspection in July 2016, we are on a journey to “Outstanding.”

The Apprenticeship area is expected to grow significantly. To ensure we are successful in the next stage of our journey we are looking for experienced and qualified subject specialists who are passionate about their subject and can raise achievement through motivating, challenging and inspiring our apprentices.

 

Lecturer for Business, Customer Service, Leadership and Management:

The role will include the design and delivery of high-quality teaching and learning to ensure apprentices achieve the Apprenticeship Standard knowledge, skills and behaviour outcomes and end point assessment requirements on time. You will also carry out coaching and assess apprentices both in the workplace and remotely as required and support apprentices to prepare for end point assessments.

 

You will need to have a minimum of two years' experience of working in the Apprenticeship sector, teaching and assessing vocational qualifications or Apprenticeship standards and high level of vocational competence gained in business, customer service and/or management roles. You will hold an assessor qualification and have a proven track record of delivering vocational qualifications or apprenticeship standards level 2 and 3. Experience in delivering level 5 is desirable but not essential. You will have excellent knowledge of the new Business Administration, Customer Service, and Management Apprenticeship Standards and an appreciation of the challenges involved, as well as being excited by the prospect of enabling apprentices and businesses to gain maximum benefit presented by apprenticeships. We are particularly keen to hear from you if you meet these requirements and have experience in management Apprenticeships.
