Commissioning and Supplier Relationship Manager PO4

The London Borough of Waltham Forest in partnership with the North East London CCG have implemented a new integrated commissioning structure and arrangements for Waltham Forest.  This exciting development comes at a time when the health and social care sectors are looking to commissioning to support many of the local responses to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Implementation of the new integrated model is nearly complete with the assimilation of existing staff into new roles that have been designed to think and work across the health and social care spectrum, and who are adapting to their new ways of working. The new team currently has a remaining vacancy as follows:

Commissioning and Supplier Relationship Manager (Local Authority PO4)

We are seeking a commissioning and supplier relationship manager as part of the Integrated Commissioning team. This role will establish and develop relationships with our strategic providers in specific health and social care markets with a focus on special educational needs and disabilities.  The role is a merger of relationship-based strategic contract management and strategic commissioning.

The post will report to one of the Integrated Commissioning Managers. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to form collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, ensure high quality provision and good outcomes for residents in our commissioned services, as well as ensuring value for money for the system.

In the London Borough of Waltham Forest, we take equality and inclusion seriously and are passionate about creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity and difference and is a true reflection of the diverse communities of Waltham Forest. We are committed to fostering an environment that empowers our workforce and gives them the freedom to bring their authentic self to work to provide excellent services to all.
