HOUSING INCOME TEAM LEADER

Salary NS12 £34,728 - £36,922 per annum (Pay Award Pending)

37 hours per week

We are now recruiting for a Housing Income Team Leader to lead the Income Management team to ensure tenancies are sustained and rent recovery is maximised.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, and continuously improving, service delivery; ensuring your team engages with, and supports, tenants to enable tenancy success and that this is balanced with maximising rent income to the Council. In addition to providing line management for your team, you will also manage a caseload of complex cases, will respond to customer complaints and will be required to represent the Council at Court as required and achieve the best outcomes for all parties by using your extensive specialist knowledge and experience in income recovery processes, social housing, the welfare benefits systems and housing management systems.

The successful candidate will have significant, demonstrable experience working within a housing environment in addition to experience leading and developing an income recovery and sustainment service. You will also have previous experience of leading, motivating and mentoring a team and will be able to build effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders in order to achieve good outcomes. With strong IT skills, you will be confident using a range of software packages and developing housing management systems and you will also be committed to delivering excellent customer service. You will also have the ability to interpret and apply policy and legislation to make sound judgements.
