Following confirmation of the expansion of provision at the school, the Headteacher and Governing Body are looking to appoint well qualified, highly motivated, enthusiastic and innovative SEND classroom practitioners who will have a significant impact on learning and who are committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for pupils with special educational needs, including social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

You will be joining an established specialist team who are working together to change children's lives. It is desirable that you will already have a proven track record with significant specialist experience. But we are happy to accept applications from newly qualified teachers who are committed to excellence in the education of the whole child and who can demonstrate an understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and trauma informed approaches.

If you are successful, you will embark on an intensive programme of induction and personalised professional development.

The persons appointed will:

Understand the SEND COP
Be able to successfully lead a classroom for children with a diverse range of needs, planning and delivering lessons in line with the school's curriculum intent, whist keeping children safe and regulated.
Be able to teach in at least one of the admission phases of the school - That is KS2, 3 and 4 (It is desirable if you are able to work across all phases)
Be able to teach in more than one subject
Be in a position to:
Take a lead in running one of our Nurture Bases and/or coordinate a subject area
Be committed to inclusive practice
Be committed to trauma informed practice
Be open minded to new ways of working
Be able to manage and modify challenging behaviour in a firm but supportive manner.
Be child centred.
Be flexible with a good sense of humour.
