About BFFC

Brighter Futures for Children is an independent, not-for-profit-company, wholly owned by Reading Borough Council. Our responsibility is to deliver quality children’s services, early help, education and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in the Borough.

National Research suggests that COVID lockdowns have negatively impacted on the development of children 0-2 years especially their mental health and emotional wellbeing. BFfC has secured funding to ensure that these children have an equal chance of success and we are excited to expand our Early Years Team to include new EYFS Prime Area Development positions.

The unique roles will be part of a wider strategic plan in identifying, reaching and supporting  children who live in Reading born during COVID-19 and will focus on children thriving as they experience high quality education and care in early years settings.

If you are committed to ensuring the best outcomes for all children and ready for a new and exciting role within an established team this may be just the opening for you! Applicants will have a relevant childcare qualification and a breadth of experience working with very young children and their families. It is essential that you have experience of leading practitioners to provide high quality and inclusive care and education for all children. Applicants will be well practiced at observing, assessing and advising within a busy early years environment. An excellent understanding of child development and how to provide effective programmes of support is essential.
