A fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious and transforming Council. The right career move is often about timing and this is certainly an exciting time to join South Derbyshire District Council.

In March 2022 the Council will be halfway through a four-year Transformation Plan which will underpin service delivery for future years. Most of the work completed to date has been achieved within the COVID-19 pandemic and now the next steps are to continue delivery of the transformation roadmap whilst also supporting changes relating to post COVID working. The delivery of these objectives will depend on a first-class customer experience, a connected digital service, and a continuous improvement in processes. That’s where you come in.

The Senior Business Change Officer is a specialist change professional, supporting the Council to achieve its transformation ambitions through effective project management, continuous improvement and change management. As part of a wider team, you will manage the delivery of your own dedicated projects or work packages/work streams within larger projects, commissioned at a strategic level or through Service Improvement initiatives identified by Heads of Services.

This role is well placed in the Council to gain a great deal of exposure in a wide variety of work and is part of the Corporate Programme Management Office. Operating within the multi-disciplinary Business Change, ICT & Digital Service this is a great opportunity for an experienced Change Officer or Project Manager to further develop their career.

The Council offers different employment options including flexible hours and working from home.

Provisional Interview Date: Week commencing 6 December 2021.
