The Governors and leadership team at Darnhall Primary seek to appoint an inspirational, enthusiastic and outstanding classroom practitioner to join our team as a year 5 teacher for 2 days a week. The position would be as a job share and will begin from January 2022.

 The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate outstanding and creative classroom practice; resilience and commitment to securing the highest possible outcomes for all children. They must have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the curriculum and a sound knowledge of both curriculum planning and delivery. Candidates must have the ability to deliver exciting and engaging learning opportunities - demonstrating a thorough knowledge of how children learn and develop. They must have the ability to adapt their teaching to suit the needs of all learners; good organisation, time management and assessment strategies. A commitment to meeting the individual needs of the children as members of the whole school community is essential. 

 At Darnhall, we offer a dedicated and enthusiastic team of staff and Governors as well as active, supportive parents in a caring and happy environment where all are valued and the achievement of all is celebrated.  Darnhall is a mainstream, split site school which has a resourced provision for children with social, mental and emotional difficulties. The children at our school are delightful and respond well to teachers who are creative, fun and energetic.  We have strong links with the local community – local schools and have a commitment to professional development.

The school is committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children. The successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure and provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK alongside proof of qualifications. References will be sought. At this time, all positions are advertised as temporary, however, for the right candidate there may be some permanency.
