North Somerset’s Safeguarding Children Partnership (NSSCP) is a multi-agency partnership which brings together agencies who work to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people across the area The aim of the Partnership is to coordinate what is done by each body represented on the board for the purpose of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in safeguarding partners (North Somerset Council, Clinical Commissioning Group and Avon and Somerset Police) and other relevant agencies to co-ordinate their safeguarding services in accordance with their agreed multi-agency arrangements.
This is a new and exciting opportunity, having been separated from the Adult Safeguarding role, so we are looking to appoint a Business Manager who will support the statutory safeguarding partners and relevant agencies to co-ordinate their safeguarding services.
The successful candidate will oversee and manage the operational delivery of the NSSCP’s business plan by providing leadership and support to the NSSCP’s work streams - championing the voice of the child, promoting a multi-agency learning culture of high support and high challenge and ensure compliance with local and regional training strategies, procedural frameworks, quality assurance frameworks and statutory arrangements for Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews.
This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
