Do you have experience of project accounting? Can you support the planning and delivery of a high profile, high value programme which delivers one of the strategic priorities of Central Bedfordshire’s on time and on budget?
This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, analytical person to join the Financial Support Team, within the Resources Directorate as a Senior Finance Officer.
This role will support the Futures Group in the delivery of the Council's Cross Cutting efficiency programme developing and delivering a transparent, coherent, and coordinated plan to meet our programme of efficiencies over the next few years.
You will relish working in a complex environment, working with a group of stakeholders across the council’s directorates, manipulating, interrogating, and analysing large volumes of data, independently and with excellent excel skills to achieve the required outcome and report back to the Futures Group with findings.
AAT qualified (or suitable equivalent experience) and with excellent organisational skills you will be able to adapt to any given situation, demonstrating your ability to provide informed and reliable financial advice in all circumstances whilst ensuring all figures and information is challenged appropriately. You will be an excellent communicator and a good team player with knowledge and experience of local government finance.
