WASTE MANAGEMENT OPERATIVE
1 x permanent post (37 hours per week) and several relief posts
SALARY GRADE NS5 - £19,698 - £20,092 per annum (Pay Award Pending)
A vacancy for one permanent Waste Management Operative and several Relief Waste Management Operatives has arisen within our Waste Management Team. Relief staff are currently working 37 hours per week
This role includes the loading of domestic refuse collection vehicles, litter picking, fly tip collection and litterbin emptying throughout the district. The position will entail working unsociable hours in all weathers. You should be physically fit, with the ability to work alone and unsupervised. Full training, uniform and PPE will be provided. Experience in working in a similar environment would be beneficial but is not essential.
The position requires a full driving licence. The post is based at the Council’s Brunel Drive Depot in Newark.
Working past the usual finish time is sometimes required where there is a need in order to provide a full service to residents.
