We seek a suitably qualified Fire Risk Assessor who has practical expertise in fire safety and an eye for quality, who will bring value to our Fire Safety Team.
You will support the team in the delivery of the fire risk assessment programme and provide assurance that effective records are in place; promoting a strong, positive and proactive culture to protect our residents in their homes.
Your experience of fire risk assessing will be extensive, with particular experience in high-rise and multi-occupied residential buildings (knowledge and understanding of ADB, BS9991). You will be able to demonstrate how you apply PAS79.
The post holder will undertake this very important task, often engaging with our residents and contractors alike. We expect the post holder to deliver a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment to a high quality, which will drive forward our FRA planned works, the importance of which cannot be understated.
Therefore the successful candidate will hold a Fire Risk Assessment qualification at level 3, such as NEBOSH or IFE Fire Safety Certificate; ASFP Level 3 in Passive Fire Protection or equivalent and Membership of Third Party Accreditation Scheme - IFE/IFSM or equivalent or willing to work towards accreditation. Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety or equivalent is desirable.
You will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of UK legislation and guidance. Previous experience of working as a Fire Risk Assessor within social housing or the public sector is desirable. The ability to produce and analyse statistical data is a key requirement for this role.
