Bedford Drive Primary school is a new purpose build two-form entry school in Rock Ferry. Our motto is Inspire, Believe and Succeed and we expect all staff members to fulfil our vision with the children in our care.

An opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant post to support the special needs of one of our pupils. Governors are seeking to appoint a suitably skilled, enthusiastic and well-motivated Teaching and Learning Assistant to work 1:1 with a Key Stage 2 pupil.

You must be a committed team player, but have the confidence to also work independently, as you develop relationships with our pupil to support them in achieving their personal targets.

The successful candidate will:

Have a Level 2 qualification
Have previous, recent and relevant experience of working 1:1 with SEND pupils
Work collaboratively with the staff in Key Stage 2 to support pupil in accessing the curriculum
Have an understanding of and commitment to Inclusion
The ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative when required
Have an understanding of strategies for managing behaviour
