Site Manager -  AAAD5007 £19,698 - £21,748 Pro Rata Per Annum

The Head Teacher and Governors at Elworth CE Primary School are looking to appoint a school Site Manager who is enthusiastic and who will take pride in our popular school.

The position would require the successful candidate to undertake the efficient maintenance and manage the health and safety of our school. This is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding person with the necessary expertise and initiative to deal with the challenges of managing and maintaining the school premises.

The post is 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, and involves working a split shift pattern which is subject to negotiation for the successful candidate:

You would also be required to secure the school building after school events which may be in the evening and at weekends and take annual holiday entitlement during school holidays.

We are looking for a self-motivated, friendly approachable person with a ‘can do’ attitude to start as soon as possible.  Applicants with electrical, plumbing and/or joinery skills with knowledge of health and safety legislation will be particularly welcomed.  With our onsite pool, you would also be take on the responsibility of the swimming pool plant operation.  We are looking for someone who has the ability to recognise the daily repairs we inevitably encounter, liaise with suppliers, monitor health and safety standards, undertake training where necessary and still have time to chat to the children.  In return, we will value the contribution you will make to our school.

The school is committed to safeguarding children and the post is subject to stringent vetting, a full enhanced DBS disclosure check and satisfactory references.  Please note that the permanent appointment will be subject to a satisfactory completion of a six-month probationary period.
