Community Safety Officer - ASB (18 month Fixed Term Contract – potential for extension)
Band F, £30,451 - £33,782 (36.25 hours)
To help drive and co-ordinate the response to ASB within the council’s Community Safety Team. If you like overcoming daily challenges and want to be part of a developing team, then this is the role for you. You will also act as one of the council’s designated safeguarding officers. This role is to cover a secondment within the team for 18 months.
We need you to be an excellent organiser who can work effectively within the Community Safety Team and communicate with a variety of internal and external partners, organisations and residents. You will also be able to build rapport, develop relationships and meet agreed outcomes. You will be able to embrace the use of technology in the workplace and be able to manage multiple cases. You will have an excellent work ethic, confident, and able to communicate at all levels within the organisation. As well as having knowledge of community safety, you can think on your feet and problem solving across a range of disciplines will be second nature to you. Your calm and controlled manner under pressure and constant pursuit of resolutions will demonstrate your ability to succeed. You are passionate about making sure residents feel valued because you will see the issues through their eyes.
Our service works a hybrid work pattern, with excellent opportunities for agile working.
The successful person will need to undertake police vetting (Lv1).
