For the last 16 years, the London Borough of Hounslow Primary Early Career Teacher (ECT) Pool has been the first point of contact for schools across the borough who are seeking newly qualified teachers (formerly known as the NQT Pool).

Our Primary ECT Pool is now open for appointments in Hounslow Primary Schools for September 2022.

95% of our schools are Good or Outstanding (Ofsted).

Each year, we appoint all successful applicants to our Pool. As the LA Employer, we support our schools with recruitment and retention of staff, including workload and well-being, as part of the wider School Effectiveness remit.

Once you have submitted your application, your application will be considered against the shortlisting criteria. Successfully shortlisted applicants will have their details matched with schools. Headteachers will invite applicants to interview in school.

You will be supported through the process by our dedicated Recruitment team with advice and information to help you find the right post for you.

Our Primary ECT Pool operates two phases.

Main phase closing date for applications: 31st January 2022

Second phase closing date for applications: 30th April 2022

Applications submitted between 31st January  - 30th April will be considered on an ongoing basis.

Please note: The Primary ECT Pool is an annual recruitment campaign for trainee teachers who are seeking to begin or complete the Early Career Framework. It is not for Overseas Trained Teachers who are exempt from the ECF or those who have already completed Induction.
