Media & Communications Specialist

We are looking for an interim communications specialist to bring their experience and creative drive to our established and talented media team. You will play a key role in developing and delivering communications that promote the council’s activities and its ambitious corporate plan, as well as promoting Folkestone & Hythe as the place to live, visit, work and invest.

You will come from a solid communications background. Experienced in media relations as well as producing creative and outcome focused communications you will have a flair for social media and all forms of digital marketing. But above all else, if you’ve got first-class communication and interpersonal skills, can operate on your own initiative to identify key messages or potential reputational risks, and the ability to deliver campaign and marketing strategies across all forms of media, then we want to hear from you.

We appreciate that you may be seeking a position and regular work that can fit in with other commitments and there is a degree of flexibility in how the hours can be worked across the week.
