Qualified Social worker £28,672 - £34,728 (SCP 24-31)

As a qualified Social Worker you will be based in the complex care team Widnes, and have a responsibility to undertake assessment, support planning and reviews for adults with learning disabilities, physical sensory disabilities and older people. Your work will also include undertaking safeguarding enquiries, completing court of protection applications and working closely with a range of multidisciplinary teams

As a newly qualified Social Worker you will have support and guidance under the structure of the ASYE process to develop your practice under the close supervision of team managers and with the support of advanced social workers and experienced social workers in the team. You will hold a varied caseload and you will be supported to develop skills to manage an increasingly complex caseload as you progress.

As an experienced Social Worker you will ideally have experience of working with a complex caseload, and strong practical experience of relevant legislation including completion of Court of Protection applications. You will have a strengths based approach, be capable of developing a strong understanding of available community resources, and be able to utilise your well-developed skills of negotiation and diplomacy in navigating challenging cases.

Halton is committed to supporting professional development of social workers offering a range of formal (including practice education and Best Interests Assessor) and informal development opportunities including working with you to develop specific areas of interests you may have within the field of adults social work.
