Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant including Class Cover AA:AD:5031

Permanent – 17.5 hours per week – 38 weeks per year (term-time only)

Grade 6 – £11.70 - £12.92 per hour (pay award pending)

The Governors of St Paul’s Catholic Primary School, Poynton, are seeking to appoint a creative, highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in mixed age Reception/Year 1.       The working week is Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 12.15am, 17.5 hours per week.

St. Paul’s is a successful and friendly school and we offer training and a supportive staff team where everyone is valued. The successful candidate would be sympathetic to our Christian ethos, highly motivated, flexible, calm, caring and have excellent interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in EYFS and be knowledgeable of the EYFS curriculum.  They will contribute to the planning and assessment of learning, working closely with the class teacher. The successful applicant must be able to support teaching and learning in class under the direction of the class teacher.

The successful candidate must be able to provide class cover when needed.

This role requires effective communication skills, a positive attitude, excellent teamwork skills and high expectations of standards for attainment, achievement and behaviour.
