We are recruiting to our Adult Safeguarding Service in Hertfordshire and are looking for a SWE registered social worker to join us.
If the values and principles of Making Safeguarding Personal are intrinsic to your practice, this could be you!
You’ll be informed by the principles of personalisation, ensuring our safeguarding responses and actions are person-centred and, as far as possible, put people in control of their lives. Your practice will be responsive, inclusive and community-based, working to ensure the service we provide is effective, efficient and delivers positive and personal outcomes for the citizens of Hertfordshire.
You will respond to safeguarding concerns raised, make sure there’s an effective plan to keep people safe (in a way that’s reasonable and acceptable to the person). You’ll gather relevant information to support decision making and seek and record the views of adult at risk. Where needed, you’ll undertake capacity assessments / best interest decisions and you’ll work to mitigate risk to the person. You’ll contribute to strategy discussions or meetings and may be required to lead investigations and contribute to case conferences.
We take your social work registration and your professional identity as seriously as you do. We are proud to be a partner in the Hertfordshire Social Work Teaching Partnership, working with higher education partners, The Tavistock and Portman and the University of Hertfordshire to provide excellent opportunities for CPD, research activity and connection with social work colleagues across Hertfordshire.
