Capital Projects Delivery Manager

West Berkshire Council has a significant ongoing capital programme with investment across its assets, including schools, leisure, and culture. The Property Services Team offers a professional service to deliver both major capital construction projects and capital maintenance projects.

West Berkshire Council is seeking to appoint a property professional with a track record for customer focused delivery, to lead its Projects Delivery Team. Reporting to the Property Services Manager the post holder will lead on the planning of construction programmes, ensuring all projects are managed in accordance with the council’s Project Management Methodology (PMM) with successful outcomes for time, cost and quality. In managing the team, duties include procurement and contract management of suppliers, monitoring and reporting on performance indicators, ensuring suitable governance of projects with the requirement to engage with stakeholders including customers and elected council Members.
