About Us:

Help change the lives of young people in a high-profile London borough.

At the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, we are focused on putting our residents and local businesses at the heart of every decision. From the policy decisions that we're making through to the services that we’re delivering, it’s vital that we put the needs of our community first. We want to give everyone a great quality of life, with access to a comfortable home, sustainable and desirable employment options, and the chance to live and work in a healthy and safe environment. And our Youth Offending Team plays a vital part in achieving these goals.

The Role:

Joining our efficient, multi-disciplinary team, you’ll deliver truly child-first support to vulnerable young people who come into contact with the youth justice system. In doing so, you’ll be making real, positive change to their lives as well as the lives of their families.

The role has a varied and challenging workload. This includes supervising the young people assigned to you, working with their families using systemic approaches, collaborating with partner agencies to deliver services and carrying out accurate, effective assessments. Ultimately, you’ll be providing invaluable advocacy and interventions that can prevent both offending and reoffending.

You will work with young people aged 10-17 who are subject to Youth justice interventions namely statutory court orders and out-of-court disposals. Through the course of your work, you’ll also be able to take advantage of a balanced caseload, multiple opportunities for development and our deep commitment to systemic practice. If you want to excel and rapidly progress, you’re in the right place.
