Job Title: Mobile Response Officer - As and When
Location: Barnet and Brent
Salary: £22.66 per shift of standby / £12.73 per hour when called out / Mileage at 45p per mile (both filled in dependant on usage)
Barnet Homes Assist undertakes the monitoring of the Assist community alarm service linked to older and vulnerable residents living in council housing, housing associations and the private sector. Among other services Assist provides Telecare and assistive technology installation, monitoring, maintenance and removal, key safe installation and staff cover for other registered social landlords.
The post holder will be mainly responsible to partake in standby rota to attend emergency call outs as and when the need requires including out of hours, bank holidays and weekends. The post holder occasionally may also be required to cover daytime shifts which will include the high quality installation, exchange, maintenance and collection of a wide range of standalone and Telecare devices, visiting service users to carry out planned welfare checks and update relevant information, emergency contacts and other professionals.
Access to a vehicle and a full clean driving licence is essential. Familiarity with Telecare equipment would be an advantage although full training will be given.
The post holder would join a bank of staff to be called upon to cover sickness, annual leave and training for colleagues as instructed by the Senior Mobile Response Officer. The service operates 7 days a week including weekends and bank holidays. The post requires an enhanced DBS check and you will be based out of the Assist office at Gadsbury Close, NW9 7EZ although would specialise in either the Borough of Barnet or the Borough of Brent.
