Specialist Teaching Assistant - Hearing Impairment

An opportunity has arisen for a full time teaching assistant to work with the hearing impaired children based on the Wirral from October 2022 or ASAP. 

About the role:

You will work with teachers to support the learning and education progress of child and young people with hearing impairments, with the aim of narrowing any attainment gap they have with their fully hearing peers at home or on entry to school. 
You will provude assistance to so that they can access the curriculum, participate in learning, experience a sense of achievement and develop independence in learning and other aspects of school life. The candidate would be expected to travel independently to a variety of locations in the authority. The post will involve opportunities to work with children in all of the key stages and settings. The use of technology is key to the role and skills in this area must be demonstrably high.

This role will initally be for 12 months with the intention for permanence after this.
