The Public Protection Partnership is excited to offer an opportunity to support the delivery of our key objectives relating to animal health & welfare including livestock and imported pets and the protection of the food chain through a combination of enforcement, advice and partnership working. You will be asked to undertake proactive inspections and give advice relating to the health and welfare of pets and livestock.
We are seeking applicants who are interested in working within a busy Trading Standards Team.
Although you will need to hold a relevant diploma or graduate level qualification to be employed as an animal health officer, we are prepared to support the right candidate in obtaining the level of qualification required to be a fully qualified animal health officer. However, it is essential that applicants hold a full driving licence to undertake this role.
The Public Protection Partnership is a shared service between West Berkshire and Bracknell Forest Councils covering Trading Standards, Environmental Health and Licensing activity.
We are ideally looking to offer the successful candidate the full number of hours advertised above. We may however consider offering less hours than advertised providing they meet the requirements of the role and service which will be determined by the recruiting manager.
